The expression for the mid point with the given two point is :


x=(x_1+x_2)/(2)\text{ \& y=}(y_1+y_2)/(2)

From the given figure we have 2 points : A(5,7) & B(9,-1)

Substitute the value and solve for x & y


\begin{gathered} x=(x_1+x_2)/(2)\text{ \& y=}(y_1+y_2)/(2) \\ x=(5+9)/(2)\text{ \& y =}(7+(-1))/(2) \\ x=(14)/(2)\text{ \& y=}(6)/(2) \\ x=7\text{ \& y =3} \end{gathered}

So, the mid points are (x, y) = (7, 3)
