4(x-2)=4x+10

To solve this equation:

1. Use distributive property to remove parenthesis:


a(b+c)=ab+ac
4x-8=4x+10

2. Substract 4x in both sides of the equation:


\begin{gathered} 4x-4x-8=4x-4x+10 \\ -8=10 \end{gathered}As -8 = 10 is false, there is no solution
