When looking at speed, we always think of it in terms of miles per hour, or mph. In order to solve this problem, we need to figure out how many miles the bus travels in one hour, given that it travels 14 miles in 20 minutes. We can do a little dimensional analysis to solve this problem since we know that one hour has 60 minutes:

\frac{14\text{ miles}}{20\text{ minutes}}*\frac{60\text{ minutes}}{1\text{ miles}}=(14*60)/(20)mph=14*3mph=42\text{ mph}

Therefore, the speed of the bus is 42 miles per hour
