Use the graph of the function to find all values of x such that f(x)=3.X=__

Great.

For example, f (x) = 2x - 1

That is the original function

If we solve f (3) = 2 * 3 - 1

f (3) = 5

Perfect, Appreciate it.

Oh, that is a totally different case. :=)

Let me download the picture, please.

As you can see, this function is a parabola, and its vertex is (1,7)

For f (x) = 3, we have two values:

On the left, (-1, 3) and on the right, (3, 3).

In consequence,

x = -1 and 3, for f(x) = 3

Two solutions, EK.

Like you prefer. The important piece of information here is that x has two values for f (x) = 3.
