Given the following question:

(3x-2)*(2x+6)

Foil method:

\begin{gathered} (3x-2)*(2x+6) \\ \mleft(3x-2\mright)\mleft(2x+6\mright)=3x\cdot\: 2x+3x\cdot\: 6-2\cdot\: 2x-2\cdot\: 6 \\ 3x\cdot\: 2x+3x\cdot\: 6-2\cdot\: 2x-2\cdot\: 6 \\ 3x*2x=6x \\ 6*2=12 \\ 6x+x=7x*2=14x \\ =6x^2+14x-12 \end{gathered}

Your answer using the foil method is 6x^2 + 14x - 12
