tai volunteered to sell tickets to an upcoming school play. There are a total of 75 tickets available cost of $3 each.

A) Write a function M (t) to represent the total amount of money Tai receives from the ticket sale.

B) what is the domain of the function? Explain your reasoning.

Part A

we have that

The linear function M(t) that represent this situation is

M(t)=3t

where

t -----> is the number of tickets

M(t) ----> the total amount of money Tai receives from the ticket sale.

Part B

Find out the domain

the domain is the data set of all possibles values of t

the minimum value of t is zero

the maximum value of t is 75

so

the domain is the data set of whole numbers { 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, ... 75}

the domain must be a whole number because the number of tickets can not be a fraction number or a negative number
