A rational number is negative when the numerator and denominator are opposite sing. The result of multiplying two negative rational number is a possitive rational number. Example:

(-1)/(7)*(4)/(-5)=((-1)(4))/((7)(-5))=(-4)/(-35)=(4)/(35)_{}
