Problem

Solution

For this case we see that the constant between distance and gallons is 16/2= 8

2/ 16 = x/24

x= 24 (2/16) = 3

2/16 = 5/y

y= 5*16/2 = 40

2/16 = x/72

x= 72 (2/16)= 9

2/16 = 10/y

y= 10*16/2 = 80

And the table would be:

Gallons 2 3 5 9 10

Distance 16 24 40 72 80
