How to solve 6x+7x=7

We are asked to solve for the unknown x in the equation:

6x+7x=7​

we combine the two like terms in x on the left:

13 x = 7

now we divide both sides by 13 in order to isolate "x"

x = 7/13

So in fraction form, x = 7/13
