Find the slope of the line that passes through the points (-3,2) (5,4)

Answer:

y=1/4x

Explanation:

First of all, you want to label your coordinates so

(-3,2), where -3 equals x1, and 2 equals y1

Now onto the other coordinate

(5,4) 5=x2 , and 4=y2

After you’ve done this you want to plug into the formula of finding slope which is rise/run or

y2-y1
———

x2-x1

Ok now plug the coordinates in:

4 -2

——— = 2/8

5-( -3)

Remember that when two negatives interfere it becomes positive, hence why the slope is positive :)

HOWEVER you can simplify this which is 1/4 so the slope is 1/4
