So, we know:

Diameter =14

Radius =7 (Half of the diameter)


\text{Area}=\pi r^2
\text{Area}=\pi(7in)^2\text{ =49}\pi in^2

Now we divide by the number of slices to get tha area of the slice:


\frac{49\text{ }\pi\text{ in}}{8}\text{ = }(49)/(8)\text{ }\pi in^2

So the answer is b.
