we have the equation of the form

f(x)=ab^x

Remember that

a is the initial value (value of f(x) when the value of x=0)

we have the point (0,10,000)

so

a=10,000

Now the equation is

f(x)=10,000(b^x)

Find out the value of b

we have the other point (2,4900)

that means

x=2, f(x)=4,900

substitute

\begin{gathered} 4,900=10,000(b)^2 \\ solve\text{ for b} \\ b^2=(4,900)/(10,000) \\ \\ b^2=0.49 \\ b=0.70 \end{gathered}

therefore

The answer is

a=10,000

b=0.7
