The population of the town is given by the following formula:


p=2500t+60000

Where p is the population and t is the number of years. Make p equal to 100000 and solve the equation for t:


\begin{gathered} 100000=2500t+60000 \\ 100000-60000=2500t \\ 40000=2500t \\ t=(40000)/(2500) \\ t=16 \end{gathered}

The output will reach 100,000 after 16 years.
