The given system of linear equations is

x - y = -2 .......(1)

-4x + 4y = 8 ......(2)

The equation x-y=-2 can be rearranged as,

x=y-2

Substitute x=y-2 in equation (2).

\begin{gathered} -4(y-2)+4y=8 \\ -4y-4*(-2)+4y=8 \\ -4y+8+4y=8 \\ 8=8 \end{gathered}

Since 8=8 is a true statement, the system has infinite number of solutions.
