A) Given that both triangles are congruent, then:

AB ≅ ED

AC ≅ FD

BC ≅ EF

∠A ≅ ∠D

∠C ≅ ∠F

∠B ≅ ∠E

Then, option C cannot be true

B) ∠A + ∠B + ∠C = 180°

87° + 42° + 3y = 180° (∠B ≅ ∠E)

3y = 180° - 42° - 87°

3y = 51°

y = 51°/3

y = 17°
