Use the Distance Formula to find the distance between P(3, 4) and M(-2,-2).Round to the nearest tenth if necessary.PM=

Distance formula:

D = √[ (x2-x1)^2 + (y2-y1)^2]

Since;

(x1,y1)= (3,4)

(x2,y2)= (-2,-2)

Replacing :

D = √[ (-2-3)^2 + (-2-4)^2]

D = √[ (-5)^2 + (-6)^2]

D = √ [25+36 ]

D = √61

D= 7.8
