The general form of equation is :

\begin{gathered} y=m(x-x_1)+y_1 \\ where\text{ m is the slope and }\mleft(x_1,y_1\mright)\text{are the coordinates} \end{gathered}

We need slope = 4/5 and y intercept : y =-6 i.e at x = 0, y = -6

1) y=-6x+4/5

Express in the general form :

y = -6x + 4/5

On comparing with the general form : m = -6

at x = 0, y = 4/5

2) y=4/5x-6

Express in the genral form:

y = 4/5x - 6

On comparing with the general form slope m = 4/5

and at x = 0, the equation is :y = 4/5(0) - 6

y = -6

y = -6

3) y=4/5x +6

Express in th general form :

y = 4/5 x + 6

On comparing with the general form

slope m = 4/5,

at x = 0,

y = 4/5(0) + 6

y = 6

4) y=6x+4/5

On comparing with the genral form :

we get slope m = 6

at x = 0,

y = 6(0) + 4/5

y = 4/5

Answer : 2) y=4/5x-6
