Given the figure of cone

The vertical cross section will be a triangle

Base of the triangle = b = 12 cm

Height of the triangle = h = 32 cm

Area = A


A=(1)/(2)\cdot b\cdot h=(1)/(2)\cdot12\cdot32=192\operatorname{cm}^2
