Identify the slope and y-intercept of the equation x-2y=2

to find the slope and the y intercept, we have to solve for y the equation. In this case, we have the following:

\begin{gathered} x-2y=2 \\ \Rightarrow x=2+2y \\ \Rightarrow x-2=2y \\ \Rightarrow y=(1)/(2)(x-2)=(1)/(2)x-1 \\ y=(1)/(2)x-1 \end{gathered}

therefore, the slope is m = 1/2 and the y intercept is b = -1
