The given pattern is

-48,-44,-40,-36,-32

We will find the difference between the consecutive terms

\begin{gathered} -44-(-48)=-44+48=4 \\ -40-(-44)=-40+44=4 \\ -36-(-40)=-36+40=4 \\ -32-(-36)=-32+36=4 \end{gathered}

Then the pattern is increasing by 4 units

The pattern is changing by adding 4
