There are 3 people on a volleyball team. If there are 7 players, how many different teams could be formed?

The number of people in the team is, 3

The number of players is, 7

Therefore, the number of teams can be calculated as,


C^{7_{}}_3

On solving, we get,


\begin{gathered} C^7_3=(7!)/((7-3)!*3!) \\ C^7_3=(7*6*5*4*3*2*1)/(1*2*3*4*1*2*3)=35 \end{gathered}

Thus, the number of teams is 35.
