When x=1, the value of g(x)=-8

Therefore:


g(1)=-8

Part B

When x=-3, the value of g(x)=4

Therefore:


g(-3)=4

Part C

When g(x)=1

The value of x is -2 as shown by the green line above.

Part D

The graph intersects the y-axis at the point (0,-5)

Therefore, the vertical intercept (x,y)=(0, 5).

Similarly, the graph intersects the x-axis at an estimated point (-1.7,0)

Therefore, the horizontal intercept (x,y)=(-1.7, 0).
