Question 3

Determine the length of side b by using the pyhagorean theorem.

\begin{gathered} (b)^2+(3)^2=(11)^2 \\ b^2=121-9 \\ b=\sqrt[]{112} \\ =10.58 \\ \approx10.6 \end{gathered}

Length of side b is 10.6 cm.

Question 4:

Determine the length of side c by using pythagoras theorem.

\begin{gathered} (c)^2=(18)^2+(15)^2 \\ c=\sqrt[]{324+225} \\ =\sqrt[]{549} \\ =23.43 \\ \approx23.4 \end{gathered}

So length of side c is 23.4 cm.
