How would you set up an equation to solve for x

to solve x you must simplify and group terms

and at the end place x on one side of the equation, alone

For example:


\begin{gathered} 2y=(5y+3x)/(3) \\ \\ 3*2y=5y+3x \\ 6y=5y+3x \\ 6y-5y=3x \\ y=3x \\ (y)/(3)=x \\ \\ x=(y)/(3) \end{gathered}
