Suppose you are in Vancouver, Canada, and are in need of filling up your gas tank. You pull into the gas station and read thatgas is priced at $1.32 per litre. Assuming an exchange rate of 25% (meaning that $1 US is equivalent to $1.25 Canadian), howmuch will it cost you (in US dollars) to fill your vehicle with 10 gallons of gas? (Note: 1 gallon 3.78 litres)

Given that,

Gas price = 1.32 $$. ('.' suppose $$ is a candian dollar)

Also, given

1$ = 1.25$$

1/1.25$ = $$

$$ = 0.8$

Now, the total capacity 10 gallons.

1 gallon = 3.78 litre

10 gallon = 10*3.78 = 37.8

Hence, the total cost would be = 37.8 * 0.8 = 30.24$
