Noah has 4 bottles of water. 1 bottle has 0.456 liters of water. Bottle 2 has 0.95 liters of water. Bottle 3 has 0.5 liters of water and bottle 4 has 0.3478 liters of water. His goal is to drink 2.5 liters of water in day, will he reach his goal? If yes, how much did he go over, if no, how much more does he still need?

It is given that Noah has 4 bottles.

It is also given that:

• Bottle 1 contains 0.456 liters

,

• Bottle 2 contains 0.95 liters

,

• Bottle 3 contains 0.5 liters

,

• Bottle 4 contains 0.3478 liters

To find the amount of water he can drink, add the volume in each bottle:

0.456+0.95+0.5+0.3478=2.2538

Hence, he'll drink 2.2538 liters in a day.

This is less than the goal, 2.5 liters. Hence, he will not reach his goal.

To find how much more he'll need, subtract 2.2538 liters from 2.5 liters:

2.5-2.2538=0.2462\text{ liters}

Hence, he'll need 0.24
