We have two combined shape, this are;
Rectangle and triangle
We have to find the area of the two shapes and then add them together
From the diagram;
Length (l) of the rectangle = 12.16 ft
Breadth (b) of the rectangle = 6ft
Area of a rectangle = l x b
= 12.16 x 6
=72.96 ft²
Then let's move on to find the area of the triangle
From the diagram
height(h) of the triangle = 9.16 ft
Base(b) of the triangle = 12ft - 6ft = 6ft
Area of a triangle = 1/2 x b x h
= 1/2 x 6 x 9.16
= 3 x 9.16
=27.48 ft²
Area = area of rectangle + area of triangle
= 72.96 ft² + 27.48 ft²
=100.44 ft²
≈ 100.4 ft²
Hence the area of the shape given is 100.4 ft² to the nearest tenth
