A 330 ml bottle of mineral water costs $0.42. A 1.5 litre bottle of the same water costs $1.65.

Not much of a difference but the second bottle is the best buy

1) Make sure that all corresponding units are the same.

Litres to millilitres

1.5 L x 1000 = 1500 ml

2) Find out how much you are paying for 1 ml for each bottle

a) First bottle

330 ml = $0.42

1 ml = x

330x = 0.42

x = 0.42/330

x = 0.0013

b) Second bottle

1500 ml = $1.65

1 ml = x

1500x = 1.65

x= 1.65/1500

x= 0.0011
