we have:

x -- number of miles that Miguel rode his bike

y -- number of miles that Nathan rode his bike

system of equations

\begin{gathered} x=5y-4 \\ x=6 \end{gathered}

then solve for y

\begin{gathered} 6=5y-4 \\ 6+4=5y-4+4 \\ 10=5y \\ (10)/(5)=(5y)/(5) \\ y=2 \end{gathered}

asnwer: A. 2 miles
