The equation of line passing through two points is,


\begin{gathered} (y-y_1)=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)(x-x_1) \\ (y-(-2)=(4-(-2))/(1-0)(x-0) \\ y+2=(6)/(1)(x-0) \\ y+2=6x \\ y=6x-2 \end{gathered}

Hence, the function of linear expression is 6x - 2.
