Briefly explain what the mistake was, but don't dwell on it.

Quickly switch over to what you learned or how you improved, after making that mistake.

You might also explain the steps you took to make sure that the mistake never happened again.

Answer:

Everyone has those small or big things that they may think to be impossible yet accomplish them with ease. For me, this was my first public speech assignment. At normal times like in matches with many people around, I can get things done, but with public speeches it was different. The focus wouldn't be on a ball flying around but instead on just one person, the reader, me. Before class I near had a panic attack yet when we went in, a wave of ease crossed my mind. This was my class, and I would get my statements through. Even though I was still afraid, I managed to deliver my assignment simply with few stutters. After I was done, I wondered why I was even afraid of other peoples eyes as all that mattered in the end was what I thought of what I did.
