You have a piece of pipe 1 meter long. You need a piece 37 centimeters long. How much pipe will you have left after cutting the piece you need? (Assume no waste during cutting.)

The length of the pipe will be left after cutting the piece = 1 meter - 37 centimeters

But 1 meter = 100 cm

Therefore, 100 cm - 37 cm = 63 cm
