We want to simplify the expression:

( x⁵ / x² )⁴

We have to make use of some power rules.

Let's evaluate the expression inside parentheses. To do that you have to keep the base and subtract the exponents:

x⁵ / x² = x ⁵⁻² = x³

Now we have to evaluate:

( x³ )⁴

Now we have to keep the base and multiply the exponents:

( x³ )⁴ = x ³ * ⁴ = x ¹²

Answer: x ¹²
