First, multiply the remaining balance (60) by the percentage used (80) in decimal form ( divided by 100)

60 x (80/100) = 60 x 0.8 = $48

that is the amount invested.

Now, multiply the amount invested by the percentage earned in decimal form:

48 x (80/100) = $38.4

You earn $38.4
