The general form of a linear equation is:

y=mx+b

where m is the slope of the line and b is the intercept

since the intercept of the line is the point where it crosses the y-axis, b equals the y coordinate when x equals zero, in this case y(0)=7

then:

b=7

Now we can find the slope of the line with the formula:

m=(y1-y2)/(x1-x2)

we can use whatever points (x1,y1) and (x2,y2) from the table, let's use the points (1,13) and (2,19)

replacing into the formula of m:

m=(19-13)/(2-1)=(6)/(1)=6

Since the slope of our line (m) equals 6 and the intercept of our line equals 7, the equation of the linear function would be:

y=6x+7
