the normal body temperature of a camel is 37°C. This temperature varies by up to 3°C throughout the day. Write and solve an absolute value inequality that represents the range of a normal body temperature (in degrees Celsius) of a camel throughout the day. The inequality is ___, where T the normal body temperatures. The normal body temperatures of a camel range from ___°C to ___°C I have tried so many answers and all say wrong, I would really appreciate some guidance in this.

Let

T -----> the normal body temperatures

we have that

the inequality that represent this situation is

\mleft|T-32\mright|\le3

solve the inequality

First solution (positive value)

\begin{gathered} (T-32)\leq3 \\ T\leq32+3 \\ T\leq\text{ 35} \end{gathered}

Second solution (negative value)

-(T-32)\leq3

Multiply by -1 both sides

Remember that

when you multiply or divide both sides of an inequality by a negative number, you must reverse the inequality symbol

so

\begin{gathered} (T-32)\ge-3 \\ T\ge32-3 \\ T\ge29 \end{gathered}

therefore

The normal body temperatures of a camel range from 29°C to 35°C
