hellofrom the question given, we have a triangle

let's use trigonometric ratio on this

SOHCAHTOA

\begin{gathered} \text{soh}=\sin \theta=(opposite)/(hypothenus) \\ \text{cah}=\cos \theta=(adjacent)/(hypothenus) \\ \text{toa}=\tan \theta=(opposite)/(adjacent) \end{gathered}

in this question, we have the value of an angle, and opposite but we are to solve for hypothenus.

the only ratio that would work for this is sine angle

\begin{gathered} \sin \theta=(opp)/(hyp) \\ \theta=38^0 \\ \text{opp}=1.3 \\ \text{hyp}=x \\ \sin 38=(1.3)/(x) \\ 0.6157=(1.3)/(x) \\ x=(1.3)/(0.6157) \\ x=2.1 \end{gathered}

from the calculations above, the value of x is equals to 2.1
