Using the Pythagorean theorem


a^2+b^2=c^2

solve for the side


\begin{gathered} a^2=c^2-b^2 \\ a=\sqrt[]{c^2-b^2} \\ a=\sqrt[]{10^2-(\sqrt[]{19})^2} \\ a=\sqrt[]{100-19} \\ a=\sqrt[]{81} \\ a=9 \end{gathered}
