Given:

The spinner sections = 15

The probability of spinning a red = 2/5

Find-:

How many sections are blue

Explanation-:

The total probability of spinning is 1.

\text{ Probability of spinning red }+\text{ Probability of spinning blue}=1

The probability of spinning blue is:

\begin{gathered} =1-(2)/(5) \\ \\ =(5-2)/(5) \\ \\ =(3)/(5) \end{gathered}

The blue section is:

\begin{gathered} =(3)/(5)*15 \\ \\ =3*3 \\ \\ =9 \end{gathered}

The total 9 sections for blue.
