The ratio of the acutal plane is:

27\text{ ft long:18 ft wingspan}

By using proportions, we can find the answer as follows:

\frac{27ft\text{ long}}{18ft\text{ wingspan}}=\frac{13.5in\text{ long}}{x}

Where x is the measure of the wingspan, solving for x we obtain:

\begin{gathered} x=(13.5in*18ft)/(27ft) \\ x=9in \end{gathered}

The wingspan will be 9 in.
