In planning for a banquet , the chef estimates that 150 glasses of orange juice will be needed . Each glass holds 150 ml . How many liters of orange juice should be ordered?

Let:

T = Total liters of orange juice

a = ml of orange juice each glass holds = 150ml

N = Number of glasses = 150

Therefore:


\begin{gathered} T=a\cdot N \\ T=150\cdot150 \\ T=22500mL \end{gathered}

Therefore:


22500mL*(1L)/(1000mL)=22.5L

22.5 L of orange juice will be ordered
