we know that

Any right triangle, must satisfy the Pythagorean Theorem

c^2=a^2+b^2

where

c is the hypotenuse (the greater side)

a and b are the legs of righ triangle

In this problem we have

a=1

b=1

Find the value of c

\begin{gathered} c^2=1^2\text{ +1\textasciicircum{}2} \\ c^2=2 \\ c=\sqrt[]{2} \\ c=1.4 \end{gathered}

therefore

the answer is
