You have two variables: time and biking distance.

The biking distance is the dependient variable y (because depend of the time)

The time is the independient variable x

To find the constan of proportionality you use the next:

k=(y)/(x)

If you make the calculation with all the data and get the same result, it is a proportional realtionship:

\begin{gathered} (12)/(1)=12 \\ (26)/(2)=13 \\ (36)/(3)=12 \\ (44)/(4)=11 \\ (50)/(5)=10 \end{gathered}

The relation between the variables is not proportional.
