The mathematical equation given is,

(28)/(100)=\frac{\text{?}}{10}+(8)/(100)

SOLUTION

Multiply through by the L.C.M of the denominators (100)

\begin{gathered} 100*(28)/(100)=100*(?)/(10)+100*(8)/(100) \\ 28=10\text{?}+8 \end{gathered}

Simplify

Subtract 8 from both sides

\begin{gathered} 28-8=10\text{?}+8-8 \\ 20=10\text{?} \end{gathered}

Divide both sides by 10

\begin{gathered} (20)/(10)=\frac{10\text{?}}{10} \\ 2=\text{?} \\ \therefore?\text{ = 2} \end{gathered}

Hence, the answer is 2.
