Slope (m):

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

1. Choosing two random ordered pairs (x,y):

• (0, 7)

,

• (2, 8)

2. Replacing these values in the slope equation:

m=(8-7)/(2-0)
m=(1)/(2)=0.5

3. Choosing two different ordered pairs:

• (1, 7.5)

,

• (3, 8.5)

4. Replacing these values in the slope equation:

m=(8.5-7.5)/(3-1)
m=(1)/(2)=0.5

Regarding linear relations, the slope will be the same with any chosen coordinates.

Answer: 0.5
