To find the probability that the card has a multiple of 3 on it

Let A be the event of the probability that the card has a multiple of 3 on it

we get,

A={3,6,9,12,15}

Number of possibliles of the event A n(A)=5

Total number of possibilities n(S)=16

Probability that the card has a multiple of 3 is,


=(n(A))/(n(S))

Substitute the values we get,


=(5)/(16)

Answer is: Probability that the card has a multiple of 3 is 5/16.
