The Slope of a Line

Given a line that passes through the points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2), the slope of the line is calculated as follows:

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

The graphed line passes through (0, -2) and (1, 4). Substituting:

\begin{gathered} m=(4-(-2))/(1-0) \\ \text{Operating:} \\ m=(4+2)/(1) \\ \boxed{m=6^{}} \end{gathered}

The slope of the line is 6
