1) Similar triangles have proportional sides so we can write:

So we can write the following proportion, note that the bigger triangle in each side is 3 times greater than the smaller triangle.

On the numerator's place the sizes of SAP, and on the denominator the sizes of triangle MEW, like this:

Let's choose one ratio and make it equal to 4/x.

Cross multiply it since it is a proportion and we'll have the size of ME

So, side ME = 12
