Given the function:

f(x)=2^(x+4)

to make the transformation of 5 units to the right, we have to write the following function:

\begin{gathered} g(x)=f(x-C) \\ C=5 \\ \Rightarrow g(x)=f(x-5)=2^((x-5)+4)=2^(x-5+4)=2^(x-1) \\ g(x)=2^(x-1) \end{gathered}

therefore, the required value of k is k = 1
