Properties of a Parallelogram

* The diagonals bisect each other

* The opposite sides are congruent

* The opposite angles are congruent

We are given the figure of a quadrilateral and the measure of its diagonals are:

2s + s + 5

and

t+12 + 3t

If we use the values s = 5 and t = 6, we get

diagonal 1 = 2(5) + 5 + 5 = 20

diagonal 2 = 6 + 12 + 3(6) = 36

Note that 2s and s+5 both measure 10

Also, t+12 and 3t both measure 18.

This means the diagonals bisect each other (last choice)
